In the way和On the way有什么区别？

大家总是傻傻分不清介词，更弄不懂什么时候该用 in，什么时候该用 on.

1in the way

▍挡路

Fred tried to get to the door, but the table was in the way.

弗雷德试图走近大门，可是桌子挡住了去路。

▍妨碍人的

I will visit you on Sunday, if there is nothing gets in the way.

如果没有什么妨碍的话，我将在星期日去拜访你。

▍碍手碍脚的

Mary tried to clean the house, but her baby got in the way.

玛丽想打扫房子，可是她的孩子总是碍手碍脚的。

in the way 的三种意思，但总体来讲就是“被阻碍”了的意思。

小编喜欢偷偷把它理解成：有个大石头 in the 隧道里，所以路就“被阻碍了”。

2on the way

on the way是在路上，当你在路上走的时候，是不是on the road?

I saw him on the way home.

我在回家路上见到了他。

(on the way 后加to，表示正在去……的途中。这里home是副词，省略了to)

▍快到了

你都已经在路上了，是不是也快到目的地了，所以on the way也可以说，快到了。

Let’s wait a few moments. He’s on the way.

咱们等一会儿，他快到了。

3in a way

▍在某种程度上

世界上有很多的way，这里 in a way，就是选择其中一条，也就是从某一程度上。

In a way I felt cheated.

在某种程度上，我有上当受骗的感觉。

4By the way

▍顺便说一下

表示在说某一件事情的时候，突然想起另一件事。

而一般貌似是by the way后面的话更重点一些。

I saw Cici yesterday, by the way, she told me that she's quitting her job.

我昨天看见Cici了。哦，对了，她告诉我她辞职了。
